The foundation of Hashmi Dawakhana was laid by Hakeem Mehtabuddin Hashmi in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, India in 1929. He was an esteemed Unani doctor who was a gold medalist in this field. He started off humbly in the small town of Amroha in India with a manually operated tablet punching machine and his rare knowledge of Unani medicine.He laid the foundation of now famous Hashmi Dawakhana which provides treatments for various diseases and health ailments. Over the years the Hashmi Dawakhana has grown from strength to strength and is today one of the pioneers in the field of Unani.
